In your desire to absolve the ideology of Islam from blame, you’re now absolving Nazism. The ideologies are the culprits. Of course, being man-made, they appeal to basic human nature-more men than women, sure-but that’s also congruent w human nature. You’ve got it backwards.https://twitter.com/Deeyah_Khan/status/1038119739653083137 …

Except she’s saying it’s basic male nature-I completely disagree. Men are not inherently evil/racist/violent etc. These ideologies nurture these aspects in them. As the old saying goes: ideologies can make good ppl do bad things.

That, and she’s Muslim. I have a lot of respect for her, but it’s obvious she’s twisting herself into knots trying to find a way to blame *anything* rather than admit the ideology was to blame. Another old adage “Islam is perfect, Muslims are not”.

Except now she’s made a parallel to Nazism, so would she assert that ‘Nazism is perfect, Nazis are not’? I certainly hope not. She’s in a position where she’ll be forced to see that the men act so similarly not because of their basic biology, but because of their ideologies.

And this is so PAINFULLY obvious because if it were just inherent male biology then why aren’t other men, not poisoned w these ideologies, acting like jihadis and Nazis?
