This is a really great op-ed. I suspected a lot of this, but it was much worse in my imagination. I don’t think they did it to be nasty...I think they did it to say ‘calm the fuck down, we got this’. I really like the conclusion and that’s why I think that that was the overall motivation.

Publishing it anonymously in the NYT, in my opinion, doesn't convey, "calm the fuck down..." The op-ed seems to have created more chaos.
