      A friend of mine from high school has always been huge-her whole family is huge. The woman runs marathons and eats way too much kale...but she’s still huge (not as huge as Tess, admittedly). Just like some ppl can be super thin and super unhealthy, I think the opposite is true.

      Sure, thought the vast majority of people who are obese are so not because of eating mostly kale and exercising lots. My issue is not with obese people per se, but with the promotion and glorifying of it in an age where obesity is the cause of many ailments

      Fair enough, but unlike sick smokers, I think sometimes representing different body types/colors etc can only be a positive thing for society. Obviously celebrating unhealthiness is not a positive thing. I guess you can do that by celebrating athletes w large bodies or something.

          It’s a sensitive one. Body shaming for being obese is not on nor is any form of bullying. That said, we don’t want to promote unhealthy lifestyles - being obese/overweight is not okay for your heath (or for society); it’s not something to promote (in the same way as smoking).
