I can't imagine goimg through life without others ever seeing the expressions on my face. Most dialogue is based on others reactions / facial mostly. Not sure of the Ban except for security reasons, people wear ski masks and scarfs where appr. No one s/b forced to wear it.

What are it’s origins?

It doesn’t matter what its origins are. There are a million things in bibles that originated before them. The problem is when they get enshrined in holy books they don’t go away naturally. Eg If burqas were to show who was a slave and who wasn’t, without slavery it’s irrelevant.
