@ConfessionsExMu I grew up in a religious Roman Catholic household until I was in my teens, I’m now also 32 (ugh!) I do not consider myself Catholic since I felt pressured into it, now I’m an Atheist. What are your thoughts and views on/about Ayn Rand?
I can’t say I know much about her, tbh. I’ve heard some things she espoused that I agree w and some things I really disagree w, but I haven’t done enough independent research to give an informed opinion.

My boyfriend had me read Atlas Shrugged by her, it changed my whole perspective on life. It’s also 1,200 pages. Do you have any person/people you now look up to?

Ayn Rand wrote fiction. What's missing from her work that I've read is any indication that her philosophy embraced Human Solidarity. Hank Riordan did not make the steel, nor did Dagny Taggart make the railroad, workers did, workers they considered expendable.
