This is what I've been hoping would happen. The women need to stand up against the oppression against them and against their children. The only way Islam can be changed is from the inside.

And some of the very women who protested for this right to drive were imprisoned. Meanwhile, they're more heroic and courageous than most men I know!

Yes, they are although they have a long way to go. Another problem for the Islamic world is its hatred of Jews/Israel. Can't build thriving & successful societies when one's main focus is hate.

I’m bipolar in my optimism but I’m hearing of male and female young Muslims in the UK who are muslim in name only (MINO?) and want to live a western style life. For some of them it means family ties will be broken but this is just a one generation gap to bridge.
