Many suggest that I use identity politics to shut down critics. They’re lucky I don’t because I could out-Muslim any Muslim out there and out oppression-Olympics any lefty out there. But I base my arguments on fact/truth-not on immutable characteristics or personal experience.
Actually, full disclosure, I used it once to get the @guardian to remove my name from one of their tabloid-like, hyperbole-laden, smear-campaign articles.
And yes, it worked like a charm.
