Let me help out here , I’ll leave Jordan to speak for himself: a) I believe this (hopefully temporary) pivot back to theism vs atheism is unhelpful b) focus must always be on attaining universal secular liberal democratic humanist values

c) you don’t need religion for those values, though they can accommodate for religion’s existence d) the term ‘judeo-Christian values’ is ahistoric, culturally self-congratulatory & inaccurate e) I do not advocate more religion as a solution, only more secularism

f) I make no truth claims about Islam g) None of the secular values I espouse require Islam to exist, tho they can cater for any religion h)where Islam is today is very different to where Christianity is. My direction of travel is towards more liberal secularism,not more religion
