#Solidarity. I think Peterson’s are similar, as it seems he’s also advocating these same values w religion in the backseat. But, like I said...I could be wrong as I can’t say I know his views as confidently as I can say I know yours.
, I’ll leave Jordan to speak for himself: a) I believe this (hopefully temporary) pivot back to theism vs atheism is unhelpful b) focus must always be on attaining universal secular liberal democratic humanist values
peacePS: There’s no pivot to theist vs antitheist (at least not from me). I just heard Peterson w @RubinReport last night in Vancouver and I really liked what he had to say. A lot of it resonated personally. We disagree on the god/religion stuff, but I can still learn a lot from him.

We can learn a lot from everybody, but this is a false equivalence. JP is trying to revive anachronistic religious ideas that rightfully need to die, while MN is attempting to integrate secular values with Islam.

It’s not a coincidence that much of JPs base are Trump supporters. He is pandering to white, lower to middle class people that need some justification of religion in the face of an onslaught from the New Atheists.

Honest question. What can be gained from listening to someone whose fundamental viewpoint of the world and understanding of how it operates is diametrically opposed to a world described by science? How can any idea be fruitful if it grows from a seed of irrationality?
