To be clear: when you say ‘puppies are to dogs as kittens are to cats’ the point isn’t to say that cats and dogs are similar. I don’t think the men are similar...I think they both engage w their religions in a similar way.

Peterson gets a little confusing when talking about Christianity , almost like he is atheist but doesn’t know it or that his ideas clash in his own mind. If he spoke about Christianity the same way he breaks down other topics, then imo He would talk differently about religions

Blake, have you watched his biblical lecture series on YouTube? It is clear there that he is using the bible as an example of human value seeking, not promoting Christianity. He discuses human attitudes toward ultimate values, not the divine itself. Thanks.

Yasmine, Peterson is a clinical psychologist, not a religious reformer. He talks about ultimate values which are not exclusively religious. Others (Harris, Dillahunty) keep trying to force him to talk in theological terms.
