Everyone is a person of color.
I know. It’s so dumb. Categorizing us all as ‘white’ and ‘other’. Ridiculous. And these are the same ppl that would have a hissy fit over ‘colored ppl’ but ‘ppl of color’ is so different and totally woke.

To be fair "colored" has a segregationist history in the US that PoC lacks, but I understand how the diff. looks arbitrary, as does the crude dichotomy it creates. Curious if you feel more cultural affinity to 1st Peoples/East Asians/Latinos than to Europeans because of PoC-ness?

You can choose your sexual/gender identity + your non-binary pronoun, because it is considered a social construct not determined by biological/physical attributes. However when it comes to racial/ethnic identity, you are stuck with your physical/genetic features. Go figure
