This is the danger in trusting ppl to tell you your religion-they can say whatever they want. If youre going to devote your life to a religion HOW HARD IS IT TO READ ONE BOOK? If you get through it, and you're still Muslim, you can start reading the Hadith-and that will solve it.

They also do this thing in Pakistan where if a man commits a crime-his sister is raped as punishment. They try to say that's Islam too--no it's not. I have no idea where these practices come from, but it's not from Islam.

Wait how is Nikah Halala not Islamic? Quran 2:229-2:230 says if a man divorces his wife then wants to remarry her, she must marry & divorce another man first. I know the raping-a-woman-to-punish-a-man thing has no basis in Islam, but Nikah Halala comes directly from Scripture
