I can agree that there are good and bad people who are Muslims. Can you acknowledge that the Koran encourages doctrines that most of us call bad actions, such as: intentionally killing non-Muslims, beating one’s wife (or wives) and stoning?

First off, it doesn’t say anywhere to “beat your wives”. It’s a bit more complicated than that. When the husband puts some rules, like be home before 12, or wear decent clothes, she kind of has to do them granted that they are reasonable. If she refuses, he needs to talk to her.

Yasmine, how do you keep from becoming bitter or angry when confronting this kind of vitriol on a regular basis?
