I can agree that there are good and bad people who are Muslims. Can you acknowledge that the Koran encourages doctrines that most of us call bad actions, such as: intentionally killing non-Muslims, beating one’s wife (or wives) and stoning?

He can’t leave any long lasting bruises. No whipping, caning, flogging, or whatever. And he can’t knock her unconscious. It’s really just a disciplinary hit or slap. It happens inside the house only.

It’s kind of galling you say that with such calm. What you just said is utterly reprehensible.

Refute? It is utterly reprehensible that the Koran teaches a husband can use “disciplinary hits or slaps” against his wife. Are you quibbling over the word “beat”? It doesn’t matter which word you choose; what you just described is deeply disgusting!

Have you never been hit by your mom or dad? It’s to keep the wife from disobedience. If he feels she’s too much to handle, or if she feels he’s being hard on her, they can divorce. It doesn’t go straight to hitting. Like I said, he first talks to her then “leaves” her in a sense.
