Hi David, the bottom line is: the niqab is a safety issue. In public areas where no citizens are allowed to cover their faces, there should be no exceptions. Period. As an aside, this religious freedom aspect is based on a lie anyway (not that it should make a difference /1

as it should be one law for all). Islam prohibits the niqab in prayer and Hajj (2 of the 5 pillars of the religion). Yes, Muslims wear it, but it’s not religiously mandated. Just as a Christian might wear a KKK hood-that doesn’t mean it’s his religion that compels him. /2

Much like the KKK hood, it is an ideologically motivated dress code. But, regardless, bottom line, as I said: it’s about safety of citizens. FGM is also claimed to be religious. However religious rights do not supersede human rights.

So in that case all ski mask should be banned. Motorcycle helmets should be banned. Halloween mask should be banned as well. So tell your kids that they can't wear masks on Halloween. Also a combination of a cap, sunglasses and beard should be banned. Since it covers the face.

People dont wear ski mask, their motor bike helmet or other mask into public vendor they take them off. Without visuals of a persons face it easier to comit crimes and get away with it. Common sense should be applied to all.

A cap and beard are identifiable. Kids out on halloween are not commiting crimes they a sinply getting some candy frokm nice neighbours. Secondly who wears sunglasses inside they are for the outside.
