JP is claiming that good and bad are subjective. Yes, we know that. However there are things that *are* objectively good or bad. Getting stuck on semantics like this is what bottlenecks the greater conversations, imo...but it makes for some really fun talks!

Sam quite clearly demonstrates this as the first bootstrap that he uses to insist on the word “good” by invoking a universe of infinite total subjective suffering and calling it “bad”. Moral landscape stuff.

As he says once you grant the word “bad” at that state then morality becomes a navigation problem. Obviously with incredibly difficult maybe impossible to understand math that governs the landscape. But the point still holds strong.
