Um, Yasmine? The white burka movement was started by Iranian women in order to protest against the compulsory aspect of burkas in Iran. Wearing one is the equivalent of saying I choose this, but I support the individual religious liberties of those who choose not to.
Hi Mike, you’re referring to the #WhiteWednesdays movement in Iran. An admirable initiative...but it’s not related. It’s not a burka and it’s not in Canada.
