My daughter's tenth bday party this weekend included checking out a crescent moon and Venus. They learned the first and brightest stars to appear in late evening are actually planets. Lined up on their own to look through my scope.

The most difficult time question asked by my daughter was where her dead grandmother was. She was only 5. I chose not to lie. I don't regret my choice to this day. She realises how frail and precious life is.
