I think, w the size of the egos at play here...leader to leader could be more productive. Makes him feel important, so he’s disarmed and more open. Maybe I’m a hopeless optimist, but I’ve dealt w many small men w overinflated egos and I feel like this was worth the risk.
That’s the problem, there’s historical precedence that whatever negotiation are created will be defaulted by either party, which is exactly why previous presidents never met. Also we DID have results in the past, but see my first statement of why they didn’t work out.
It’s a mistake to think that we’ve been doing the same thing “over and over,” that’s far from the reality.
