“I have to admit when I see these two people shaking hands I feel a sense of relief as do a lot of people in Washington, knowing how bleak the situation was six months ago.” -- @JoeNBCpic.twitter.com/Cln8S0UZ7y

Think the big lad at school that everyone was scared of, then think the psycho everyone was scared of. Literally no one would approach them to change their ways. Sometimes, it takes someone who understands and can relate to both to invoke change.

Well said. Totally agree. Pretty scary for the rest of us as it all seems so precarious and volatile. But, unfortunately, that’s our world. Two important world leaders are the bully and the psycho, so things could easily be WAY worse.

Trump is why it was bleak 6 months ago. Trump just globally legitimized a cruel despot. Trump just gave the signal to other despots that they too can become legitimized if they develop nuclear weapons and threaten us with them. There, now we've given credit where credit is due.

Problem is this is a dream come true for Kim. A mass murdering dictator shaking hands w/ the President on a global stage & didn’t have give up anything to get there. I am guessing there is a reason no other US president agreed to give North Korea this honor.

Celebrating is a bit early. You must be one of those one issue voters who describe the orange exactly as you just did.

“Credit to Trump?” Seriously? The man who is now picking fights with allies including Canada and the Europeans, then advocating for Russia to be allowed back in the G7 and now praising the world’s most brutal dictator saying he’s talented and loves his people?

The man practically gushes and drools over dictators while starting fights and insulting allies who have stood with the United States through thick and thin and you’re so willing to give him a pass? Not to mention he was threatening nuclear war not too long ago.

When North Korea days they want denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula what they mean is for US troops to be out of South Korea before they give up their nuclear arsenal. That is what denuclearisation means for NK.
