I’ve noticed that most Arabs leave Islam, but most Pakistanis want to hang on-advocating for reform or ‘cultural Islam’ Why the distinction? Is it because Arabs have a better understanding of Islam? Or is it because Pakistanis have few cultural aspects once you remove Islam?

True. I'm on the side of reformers who're liberals and secularists when it comes to liberalism and secularism. But I think reform itself isn't helping in the long run, could even serve the PR purposes of religion by merely making it *appear* less toxic than it is.
