I think it’s easier for Pakistanis to make the transition from gray to a lighter gray. But Arabs don’t generally to go from black to light gray...it makes much more sense to go from black to white. Does that make sense?
If you’re a ‘moderate’ Muslim (Arab or not), then reform makes sense. It’s just a continuation of living in the gray area. But if you’re a fundamentalist, w a literal understanding of the religion, then you’re not comfortable w gray. At least that’s how it was for me.

Pakistan Muslims are experiencing muslim rule only for 71 yrs. Arab lands for more than a millennium. As Arab lands reform or change, pak will be forced to introspect ..also pakistan is an agri/water based economy. Arab an oil based one. pak Muslims don't understand difference
