Iranians generally have an opposite reaction to Pakistanis. They want to keep the religion, but denounce all the cultural aspects. They value Persian culture, not Arab culture. So interesting to consider how different groups of ppl react so differently.

I think it’s easier for Pakistanis to make the transition from gray to a lighter gray. But Arabs don’t generally to go from black to light gray...it makes much more sense to go from black to white. Does that make sense?

Can I see the cross-tabs on your survey?
"Most Arabs leave Islam" seems a very broad generalization. Perhaps I missed the qualifiers ... #MostArabs#HeadCounts -
I mean specifically Muslims who question their faith. That should be clear if you read the rest of the tweet and not just that one phrase.

Pakistanis rejected their native culture when they succeeded from India in 1947 in favor of Islam. If they reject Islam, their excuse of a country has no reason to exist.
-
Also, inability to coexist in India was part of their raison d'etre. Peace with India negates their existence as much as renunciation of Islam does.

Remove Islam and Pakistani culture is basically Indian culture. Makes sense - same nation till only 60 years ago. A devout Pakistani friend loves to watch Bollywood movies and sees nothing wrong with that. An Indian & a Pakistani can discuss cricket till the end of the universe

Pakistanis were brainwashed for over 2 decades after Saudi money was poured in to hijack public education in the country. I can say from personal experience these effects are almost impossible to reverse.
