I’m a drop tempted to try wearing hijab or niqab for a day, but not for reason most non-Muslims do. I want to see what it feels like to face the claustrophobia/repression of it for a whole day. But it’d still be nothing compared to being forced or pressured into a lifetime of it.
I’d recommend having someone w you as you’ll have no peripheral vision and being covered like that really throws you off...it’s like being in a sensory deprivation chamber. If you’re prone to claustrophobia/anxiety/ panic attacks, be warned-it will be challenging.
Yes, I am prone to claustrophobia and anxiety, plus I have sensory issues. To be honest, I feel claustrophobic just thinking about it. My heart goes out to you and everyone else who was pressured into living like that!!!
