Tomorrow, they will pretend to be outraged about another dumb thing and the cycle will start again. At some point, the rest of us should probably decide to stop taking their bullshit seriously and focus on something that actually matters.
Except who is the ‘they’ in this scenario? From an outsiders perspective, it seems America is caught in a never-ending pendulum swing. The left gets outraged over a celebrity tweet, so the right gets outraged over a celebrity monologue. Lather, Rinse, Repeat.

It’s a far cry better than the UK model, which is to silent the disgruntled population by locking them up & requesting gag orders on trials & sentencing. At least our pendulum swings & we do not hide it or try to stop it.
