Reforming is ok though I think it is challenging, lying concerns me of course.
Knowing Maajid, I dont think it's fair to say he 'lied'. I think he misspoke or you misunderstood that it was a joke-or some other explanation. Ive never heard him say it, and it's not a stance he generally takes-so I think it was a one-off miscommunication of sorts.
