I was reminded of two reflections on trust that resonated recently…1.) People move at the speed of trust. & 2.) Companies don’t run out of money, they run out of trust. Agree or disagree?

These are just a few lessons we gleaned as a team working to raise for our first fund.🤗

Lesson 3: Process is paramount. 💡
Fundraising takes discipline and consistency. As our network expanded, we refined our process to set clear expectations, maintain frequent internal check-ins, ask more upfront questions, and centralize all fundraising operations in one CRM.

Lesson 2: Accept hearing “no” and working with it. 🚫
Buckle up and get ready to hear ‘no’ in longer or shorter forms. We always prefer a quick ‘no’ over a long ‘maybe’ any day.

Met with a founder today with a company name that really stands out among the 16 companies on the docket today. It is a short word, not made up, a verb, not often used, and the word easily takes on a lovely new dimension. Any examples of genius naming to call out?
