Take down your “Indian” costumes next.https://twitter.com/heather28df/status/1037057064386752513?s=21 …

Then let’s cancel any leprechaun costumes because it offends me being Irish. No vampire costumes because it upsets the people who identify as vampires. This needs to stop. Yeah it’s dumb to dress like a Native American, so don’t. Problem solved
-
You realise that native folk aren't mythological beings unlike the other things you mentioned
-
You think the Irish are mythological beings?
-
Not at all but leprechauns are.

People offended by this are ridiculous, crazy, and have nothing better to do with their lives. If you don’t like it then don’t buy it. Yandy should not have caved either. You’re just perpetuating this “it’s ok to be offended by anything” culture.
-
The fact that rape against Native American women is at an all time high is why people are offended. There's thousands of missing Native women that we still have no clue as to where they are. This 'pocahottie' shit needs to stop.
-
The costume is not a Native American costume. It’s from the show Handmaid’s Tale. It a fictional handmaid (handmaid’s don’t exist in real life) from a fictional show.
-
They still sell pocahotie costumes, so the point is their apology is insincere.

Then why is there still a whole section of Pocahottie costumes when
#MMIW is a real thing that makes The Handmaid's Tale look like Hello Kitty Island Adventure? Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

CORPORATE APOLOGY CHECKLIST:
Company intentionally develops controversial product for a quick buck
Company puts product up for sale
Company receives backlash on social media
Company posts pathetic "this was not our intention" statement and backpedals -
But like, what's the end goal? To get on more people's radar, right?
-
I would think something along those lines

Your intention was to cause a scandal & to become the focus of media attention. You succeeded. Your "Indian" costumes are a fetishisation on Native American women which is a contradiction to "own YOUR sexy." You mean "encourage the white male gaze & re enact colonialism."

-
Black men, Asian men and all other men can gaze at sexy Indians too. It's Halloween and it's fun, leave it be

The PC social justice warriors can't leave anything alone until they make EVERYONE as miserable as they are
