Madison Cawthorn made it a point to stand, suggesting that all Americans to should stand during the pledge of allegiance & national anthem. It was a direct rebuke of actions by ppl -- including black athletes who are currently sitting out games -- protesting police brutality.

Trump called peacefully kneeling athletes "sons of b*tches" & told the NFL to fire them He referred to gun-toting protesters who screamed at cops as "very good people" & tweeted that the "Governor of Michigan should give a little" WRT them Why were his responses so different?

People like him, and Kristi Noem, need to stop appropriating (or, rather, misappropriating) Martin Luther King, Jr.'s phrase "judging people on the content of their character, not the color of their skin."

But James Madison never signed the Declaration of Independence, so he couldnt have been 25 while doing so as Cawthorn claimed.

Wish these people would read a damn history book! Madison signed Constitution - he is called the architect of the Constitution & he was the official recorder. He wasn't the youngest to sign, that was Jonathan Drayton, age 26. Madison was in his 30s.
