Asking Black Men to just “comply” with Police to avoid getting killed is like asking women to just dress appropriately to avoid getting raped by men. If you’re one of those people, you’re either racist or you’re not black WITH the understanding of what we go through!
Jacob Blake's family said for years they have watched as police shot & killed Black people on video and now they are living part of that nightmare. That's at the heart of being Black in America -- living with that terrible anticipation of death. That's the trauma in our bones.
