A white woman in Raleigh, N.C. called a black woman the n-word & said she would do it again because she felt “forced” into using the racial slur bc she thought the black woman was being too loud at a restaurant. Good night y’all. http://wral.com/18530502  via @WRAL (h/t @WRALLena)

Note as soon as the Black woman said, “My money is as green as yours,” that’s when the n-word came out. As a White woman she couldn’t dispute that fact, that in fact she was just a customer just like them. But in order to feel superior she tosses out the n-word. Very common.

It’s classic behavior that many White people don’t want to seem on equal footing as any Black person. That is why many poor White people continue to vote against their best interests because God forbid a Black person get anything and we all appear equal.

Usually way more rural than Raleigh, like the chant town, yeah. Nancy P Goodman is not from here, but that doesn't excuse @BonefishGrill for their tepid response!

May I do a little profiling? Want to bet she's a Republican? Because that is typical Republican behavior that expects people in a public place to behave according to her standards, at Happy Hour no less, & then blame them for her racism.

I would go so far as to say she’s fine with white people being loud in public spaces. She thinks black people should be docile and quiet in public spaces. Racists hate that we have no issues speaking up. That’s why we are called aggressive, loud, ghetto, etc.

ah, yes, everybody knows it’s just so damn hard to avoid racial slurs when someone is being too loud for your taste. why, it’s just like the abusive spouse who tells his battered wife, “look what you made me do.”

And if the people being too loud were not African-American would it have upset her?
