  3. Excusing or minimizing anti-Semitism on your side b/c the other side is worse just enables it to fester on your side until it gets worse. Dismissing anti-Semitism b/c it's not violent or "systemic" is how it ultimately becomes violent & systemic. Fight it where you are, always.

  4. This is what accountability in the face of anti-Semitism looks like, and the NYT deserves praise for setting the right example at an important moment. It's very rare to see action like this without foot-dragging. More of this, from right to left, please.

  10. Don't quite get the Biden-Jeb Bush comparison, which seems mostly superficial. Biden is known for serving 8 years under the most popular living Democratic president. Jeb didn't even have a national brand beyond his last name, which was associated with an unpopular Republican one.

  16. If we focused more on fighting anti-Semitism, and less on fighting over the particular partisan and ideological affiliations of anti-Semites, there'd be a lot less anti-Semitism.

  18. Pretty much every time I report a story about anti-Semitism, from America to Europe, I get responses from anti-Semites who immediately deflect to Israel--which was never mentioned and has nothing to do with the story--to justify the attacks on Jews outside Israel. Every time.
