He’s a typical old white man. Means well but he is a product of a system that historically catered to his demographic above all others which limits critical thinking capacity when discussing racial concerns. Ignorance by default but he doesn’t pander to racist like Trump.

In general. Because not all Cubans are conservative, nor all Puerto Ricans are left leaning either. There is so much diversity inside each country as well, not only politically. It’s diversity in history, race, customs, ethnicities, thinking, socio-economic strata, etc.
