“Content accessibility is not all about screen readers and alt text. It is about giving your audience what they need, in the way they need it, on a channel they are on, in a format that works for them. We need to understand all of our audiences to build an inclusive web.”

Content accessibility is not all about screen readers and alt text. We need to understand our audiences – all of them – if we are going to build an inclusive web.   That, and only that, is accessibility.

Thought for today When talking about plain English call it ‘clear content’. Don’t say it’s ‘more simple’, say it’s ‘faster to get to the task’ or ‘more efficient’. Consuming content has more to do with time than intelligence. Let’s kill this dumbing down argument. SR
