Hey @TeamYouTube - I just noticed that my total channel views have gone down by over 100 since I last checked. That's a pretty big discrepancy considering how small my channel is. Would you care to offer an explanation?

Hey there. Have you recently removed any videos?

No. I've recently set one to 'unlisted,' but as I understand it, that shoudl not affect my level of total views.

Thank you for the clarification. I certainly hope you CAN fix it, because to see myself suddenly lose that many views was extremely demotivating.

I understand. YouTube (https://twitter.com/TeamYouTube/status/1161019511526580225 …) has just announced that the issue was fixed, so it could have been from the spam views. (1/2)

Spam views (in this use) is defined as views that stayed for less than 10 seconds or came from the same IP. There are also other reasons why it could have happened, those including what was already stated. (2/2) Sorry for the problems.
