Our old system didn’t “verify” much except that a channel had 100k subs. This change lets us make verification more helpful for people trying to find the official channel of the creator they’re looking for. You can always appeal too & we’ll take a look before the change happens.

But...now you've just done the exact opposite, unverifying everyone now opens them up to rampant impersonation, scams with the same name and profile picture and much more. People used the badge to know it was the real deal before. Now it's only for "Official" (Companies) only....
