The amount of bullshit women founders have to face every single day is exhausting. I’m either too nice or too harsh or not experienced enough or not focused on the *right* things or that one thing I said will be misconstrued or I don’t really know what I’m talking about.

Yes, that was Stacey Abrams with a cameo on Star Trek Discovery as president of United Earth. A proud Star Trek nerd, Abrams has appeared as a guest on fan shows and has talked extensively about how the show shaped her perspective.

Get you a hobby you love as much as the press loves running hit pieces on aggressive, determined female founders.

Unless we do the work of naming history and challenging it, we will repeat it. I am so disappointed.

Be angry at Nazism and their monstrous acts. Not me. Sadly it is clear that in some ways their objective was successful: own the youth so that even when the Third Reich fell, the ideologies would live on.

I'm grateful to of for referencing Caitlin Rosenthal's Accounting for Slavery in her (must-watch) "Abolish Big Data" talk, which is how I first learned of the book (and immediately purchased it!)

Truthfully, I'm actually used to having my work marginalized. I was just hoping the interview wouldn't be a setback to all of our organizing efforts, especially now. But, after seeing it, all I could do was put my face in my hand. Acknowledgment is a major part, but only part.
