    On the bright side, get a pic of the QR code, then you can summon the elevator from anywhere just to torture whoever happens to be looking at it. Or something.

    So I can scan the qr code, download the app, open the app, scan the qr code with the app to tell it what elevator I'm at, and then call the elevator. Or. I can push the button.

    is it common knowledge that US banks just redid mortgage securities from 2006 but with student loans (Student Loan Asset-Backed Securities)? like a large part of the economy is built on loans people were pressured into by adults as children which don't go away through bankruptcy.

    netflix disabling screenshots was one of the worst decisions its ever made. there used to be jokes about how people making memes out of screenshots was doing more press for netflix shows than netflix actually was. and they were right!

    Plus like, the New York culture of these places is very different than your ultra-commercialized samey convenience stores everywhere else. These places are local owned and operated businesses. Please don't downplay that. That doesn't exist in a lot of places anymore.

    ...no, she doesn't. That's absolutely not something you can do everywhere in America. This nation has become so car-focused that even the convenience stores are several blocks walk across busy and poorly kept streets at the best of times.
