Does anyone know how many orbits ‘around’ the moon, and if it will follow the planned elliptical orbit of Gateway?

Don’t quote me on this as I’m going off memory, but Artemis II won’t orbit, as it would introduce a lot of risk for the humans. It’ll be half an orbit around the back of the moon followed by a immediate return

This is a flight test. Orion has 3 flight tests, 5 if you count abort tests. Those 3 are: EFT-1 (uncrewed high earth orbit) 2014, Artemis I (uncrewed lunar orbit) 2021, Artemis II (crewed lunar flyby) 2022. Then there’s Artemis III, a mission to the lunar gateway and the surface
