IMO this is dumb on the part of the @DNC. The point of a debate should be that the top candidates actually, y'know, debate against one another. I want to see Biden vs. Bernie, not Biden vs. Swalwell and Bernie vs. Moulton.https://twitter.com/ShaneGoldmacher/status/1132018417647718400 …

What is your definition of 'fair' in this discussion? As a young voter who emphatically believes that this is the single most important election of our lifetimes, I very much worry about the consequences of not only an exceedingly crowded primary but also of the party not (1/2)

Allowing the debates to reflect voter interest, which is only going to delay both the relative inevitability of the current top ten or so having to engage in bruising debates as well as the amount of time we'll to rally support for the eventual candidate

Because “voter interest” now is so heavily weighted towards name recognition, not ideology. Placing them on equal footing in a public debate so they can introduce themselves to America is 1 step towards getting the best candidate, not the one most well known.

Fair is to give us a shot at winning, to hear qualified candidates positions that have a shot in hell. Not to give anyone that wants attention, a place on that stage. What’s unfair is believing the American ppl will tune in both nights and that those amount of ppl won’t hurt us
