I disagree with VP Biden's statement tonight. Energy is part of the backbone of New Mexico’s economy. We need to work together to promote responsible energy production and stop climate change, not demonize a single industry. 1/2

What if that single industry is the one that causes climate change? Responsible energy production and stopping climate change means building new clean energy jobs. If O&G was going to build broad prosperity here in NM it would have happened by now.

Energy as the backbone doesn’t require that we destroy our beautiful land, air, and water, that is another backbone of our economy. Clean energy would let both prosper.
