And Crowder deserves no blame? Or any of the other hateful channels on YT? This is a problem not because of one person. Its multifaceted. YouTube is more to blame than anyone in this situation.

No, Crowder does not deserve blame for being targeted by authoritarian hacks.

He agreed to their TOS then violated them. He is partly to blame for this but blame should be shared in this instance.

To be fair I think he skurted the edge of the TOS but did not go over it. But I know that’s my opinion and well... I know in the grand scheme that’s worth little

I know many would like to say his comments are subject to interpretation or should be taken as a joke. Calling someone a "lispy qu**r" doesn't sound jokey to me. YT guidelines state hate speech is not allowed. We remove content promoting hatred against individuals or groups...

Bullshit,
@YouTube advertiser friendly content policy is impossible to abide by. If YouTube actually followed it, no one who swore, talked about news, made any form of edgy humour would be yeeted. At this point it's a tool for punishing wrongthink.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

Ok? So when's vox channel being demonetized? CNN? Fox? Any late night crap? Do you not see the double standard here?

I don't agree with YouTube demonetizing people that follow the TOS. There is a difference in reporting news, archiving information, etc. and using hate speech. YT will never ban channels like CNN or Fox news. They're major news outlets.

https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/6162278?hl=en … Under those guidelines, Jim Jeffries, Colbert, CNN, NBC, etc etc. would not be considered suitable for advertisers. but they don't get hit. Nor does the likes of Hbomber or other 'progressive' channels. there's one rule for thee, another for me.

Unless they're looking it's unlikely anything would happen to indie media that violates TOS. I'm not sure how YT their algorithm works for things like this. Usually it's because channels are reported a lot.

I'm not talking about indie media. ALL media will be breaking the advertiser guidelines. the TOS and advertiser guidelines are different.
