    It's the year 2020, and we're still finding buffer overflows in programs written in C. Fortunately, those programs are only esoteric, rarely installed programs like... <checks notes> sudo.

    True, my first CS course in university was taught using C, with pointers, memory allocation, and a bit of asssmbly. A few years later the department changed it to Java, and then now Python...

    The #1 cause of startup death is making something no one wants. The #2 cause is spending too much. Those two account for so many deaths that I'm not even sure what #3 is. If you merely make something people want and don't spend too much, you're way ahead.

    JavaScript for fast development, C++ for faster apps 🚀

    React Native’s JSI hasn’t been talked about enough — it lets you call C++ from JS with little overhead. Yesterday, I wrote a library to fetch a list of photos from the camera roll. react-native-camera-roll: 360ms my library using the JSI: 15ms 20x faster & runs synchronously
