XXue thinks her son has “white features”? Aside from lighter skin and hair he obviously looks like his mother presurgeries. Internalized white supremacy is a mental illness.
-
I fail to see how this tweet has to do with my son?! And are you suggesting I look really cute pre surgery coz my son is really cute. If so, thanks!

but in many ways their upset is understandable because chinese people in western countries assimilate (like speak english or wear western clothes) from years of colonization and systematic oppression. it's different from selecting parts of a culture that you think is "pretty".
-
Lol Chinese people are not an "opressed minority" you lead all statistics and its a bit rich considering china is one of the most racist countries on earth. As far as colonizastion goes.. look at what china is doing to New Zealand and the pacific islands.
-
i was talking about chinese in america specifically and not in other countries
furthermore, chinese people can originate from countries other than china too -
So am I.. Chinese are not oppressed at all in america. They lead pretty much every positive statistic
-
racism is something poc deal with on a regular basis
perhaps chinese people may lead “every” positive statistic but that doesn’t negate racism however direct or indirect it may be -
How do Chinese? By people thinking they're good at math? Lol. Maybe they get a few insults but every race does.
-
like other poc, chinese people have harmful stereotypes and have also been expected to be passive and docile about a lot of disparity and unfairness
-
Again you give no examples, you're hiding behind big words to try and sound smart. The only negative sterotypes Chinese people have is being bad at driving, which makes almost no difference to your daily life.

I’m offended every time I see a Chinese man wearing a Western suit... how dare you, Chinese man... how dare you

Actually, I think the number of offended Chinese are much lower than the number of westerners being offended on their behalf.

The original viral “offended” tweet was a chinese guy

That reminds me of what happened with the Kimono exhibit at a US museum.pic.twitter.com/qkF6ZRkRZW

"Because *I* didn't invite you, you weren't invited." The cognitive capabilities of these people leave something to be desired.
