Just to be clear, @absurdistwords is arguing against an "incels have a point" position, which is that men must have sex with "sufficiently attractive" women. Or else? Or else society deserves it when they conduct terrorist attacks.
It’s the only thing I’ve read on an incel that wasn’t full of hate and spit against them.

I think the group deserves hate & spite. The individual young men who had bad experiences that led them there do not. The group has reactionary misogynistic & racist tendencies. Individual young men are redeemable humans.
-
I’m not sure I know enough about it. I’m still working on my TERF/trans men divide, the far left and the far far left, toxic masculinity everywhere & the goofy name calling between all. Def not a healthy enviro, but how to stop from going there and to pull them back?
-
To stop people from going there, stop tolerating bullying in schools--preventative anti bullying programming. Provide good extracurriculars so kids make friends. Also there is this group, Life After Hate.https://www.npr.org/2018/01/18/578745514/a-former-neo-nazi-explains-why-hate-drew-him-in-and-how-he-got-out …

It requires a society where we care about young people across the board & don't just let them suffer abuse, emotional pain, bullying and violence.
-
Engagement makes sense. I recommended it to one fem decrying them while asking men to step up. She said no bc they want to murder us! I then asked if women had a role in making or helping incels and she accused me of blaming women - which I wasn’t.
-
I also think it's not fair to blame "women" for making men into incels. Parents & teachers who neglected to protect vulnerable boys, maybe. It's part of raising healthy people to help them recover from social rejection.
-
That's what was tough about the article you shared. I do not think incels have *any* truth to their outlook. They are misattributing & generalizing the source of their misery & luring other miserable guys to do the same.
-
They don’t need truth, they just need acceptance. The incel community provides that. I’m in an online community with for the same diagnosis and it’s remarkable how much we have in common I love being part of it. I just wonder with these guys how to have that without hate.
