Congrats to for its latest carefully soporific climate-crisis minimizing Nice job burying the true lede: Al Gore's enraged speech at the failure to halt the catastrophe, as demonstrated in the choice of an OIL executive for COP leader youtu.be/4-br-n9xTOc?t=

WE ARE NOT WINNING. Former Vice President of the USA says the people who run our world and economy are driving us towards global cataclysm. Where are our cultural and political leaders? They need to raise the alarm and demand action NOW #ClimateEmergency ox.ac.uk/news/2021-08-0

In November, I was one of seven New Yorkers arrested with , , and at Teterboro Airport, the largest private airport in the US, as part of a global day of action against private jets.

Join me in saying that there should be no more CoPs. They have veered now into doing more harm than good: independent.co.uk/climate-change

Environmental activists have known for a long time that COP is a greenwashing festival; however, the appointment of a fossil fuel criminal to a senior leadership role is unforgivable. There should be no place for polluters at a climate conference. (2/3) #nopollution

People don't understand how hope works. It doesn't come from downplaying scary truths or from false optimism. Everyone sees through that. Instead, it comes from hard work, from solidarity, from courage. Hope comes from joining together and doing something. Hope comes from action.

The still continues to take advertising money from Exxon after publishing this article. The press is guilty of giving Exxon the social license to operate, despite reporting day after day the catastrophic future we face. #TellTheTruth

Following as a large media business in not accepting fossil fuel advertising while also producing quality climate stories... Congratulations to on this move.

👏👏Props to @voxmedia, because they "no longer accept ad dollars from fossil-fuel companies, or any companies that mine nonrenewable resources."👏👏 This is exactly the kind of change we're pushing for across the industry. Tag who should be next ⬇️ marketingbrew.com/stories/2023/0

"The idea of cutting down meat production is a non-starter in the [American] veterinary community, vets interviewed for this story agree, even though it’s considered a necessary part of addressing climate change and would surely be better for animals."

A must-read by @mbolotnikova on how large veterinary organizations like the @AVMAvets uphold some of the cruelest factory farming practices. vox.com/future-perfect

Key word here is "Arctic" -- not a banal adjective. This is literally a river of air that in "normal times" would be circling the North Pole right now. But weather systems are totally destabilized by #ClimateChange -- the air that ought to be over Svalbard is slamming Dallas.

This is an absolute betrayal to frontline communities and your climate promises . Building out more fossil fuel infrastructure will not cut energy bills. We need to speed up a just transition to a renewable energy future that isn’t beholden to Big Oil.

Biden backs Manchin permitting proposal: "I support Senator Manchin’s permitting reform proposal as a way to cut Americans’ energy bills, promote US energy security, and boost our ability to get energy projects built and connected to the grid."
