We appreciate the good work, but must the signage be in Chinese? I would like to read what is going on but all is strange to me. Whatever you are doing, you are alienating yourselves and creating a negative impact. Kenya will be another Zambia if you aren't careful, just my take.

Can't you read those English words within the signs? Why all this anti-Chinese sentiments? Be thankful that the Chinese do build real infrastructure & trade & commerce, don't loot Africa like those democracy & freedom preachers. Ever learn the true history of African continent?
-
I know the African history well, I am born and raised here, travelled & studied in Europe and chose 2 come back. The Tunnel is 4km from my home. Thankful? Ask Sri Lanka and Zambia, Kenya is next, read the debt we owe China and taxes raised here and you will appreciate the problem
-
I also know the history of Africa in general in the last few centuries though I don't belong to there. You should ask your countrymen whether majority don't like such developments like you or not.
-
Don't assume we don't like such projects; we love them. However, there are issues. When Chinese companies give our leaders kickbacks to win tenders and monies we can't simply afford, the taxes kill the supposed beneficiary. Are you aware we have Chinese sweeper/cleaners in Kenya?
-
Maswai, the problem is leadership on the local front that we need to sort out. It's nothing to do with China.
-
It is clear that the Chinese are taking advantage of the shortsighted nature of our political class. This is further exacerbated by the rampant pilferage across the continent. If you ask me, the Chinese are doing what any other opportunist would do

Sad, very sad news for Kenya.
-
Yes, how dare the Chinese invest in Kenya infrastructure and provide jobs to 100's. This is terrible.
-
The problem isn't China's foreign direct investors - the question is do African countries have the right economic policies and institutions in place to better manage them. I.e collect taxes, make sure skills are transferred etc.
-
You and i know that they don't.
-
So its a case of we are not ready for investment yet. But sadly our time is up, Africa population will double by 2050. Where will the jobs come from? We need to improve infrastructure to boost economy and create these jobs. All this requires investment. Dont bash China so easily
-
It would be naive for us to think China cares about Africa. By these investments China invests in Chinese future not Africa's, they even go as far as bringing along their chinese work-force.
-
Have you heard of an investor investing because they care about Africa? Investors are trying to make returns on investment. No body is naive. But the reality is Africa needs foreign Direct investments. Would you sleep better if it was US or UK?

Shameful putting banners in chinese language in a foreign country yet no one from the local community can read what is written. Just too distasteful to see
-
Are you too blind to read those English words along with the Chinese characters?
