So retweeting your own tweets gets you shadowbanned, bumping doesn't work anymore and photos are cropped to the worst sizes. Twitter sure doesn't like artists!

btw ppl might not know this, but twt has supposedly changed their algorithm so that comments reach a lot farther than rts so if u like someones fanart, fanfic, fanedit, etc, please leave a comment!! even if its just an emoji or a single word like “wow!” it helps a ton!!

I could go on and on about this game and how horrible it is. But I love it, even with all its gross bumps and warts and malformed limbs. Everyone should play FF8 to appreciate how far AAA games have come, and to appreciate how freakin' weird it is.

Also, the dialogue is both cringeworthy and excellent at the same time. It's a story about a bunch of 17-year-olds trying to save the world, and they all speak like idiots. And I love how bad it is.

The magic system is horrendous, treating spells as if they're consumable items, and summons as super spells that just take a bit to cast. The junction system, however, is FUCKING SWEET And it's no surprise that very few games have copied it since the implementation is gross.

The funny thing about FF8 is that it seems to completely lack any shred of self awareness. It has this world-spanning plot about a sorceress trying to take over the planet, yet there are maybe three actual towns in the game, and none of them have any NPC interaction to speak of.
