A reminder that black blocs are a tactic (like say, strikes, petitions, etc) not an organization. And by extension i am not a spokesperson.

Year 20 of the pandemic, explaining to teens this all could have been averted by the whole world closing shop for a few weeks but global capitalism made that politically impossible, while they live in a +1.5 Celsius world.

Imagine if anyone could just fork the code base for gold to make a functionally equivalent precious metal, and people still tried to sell you on gold being a scarce commodity.

The kid dropped a chocolate chip on the bed once and triggered a mild panic attack from my bedbug ptsd.

Tell me about it. Lived 6 months with no furniture after 2 years of recurring bedbugs because i was making sure once i threw away everything and the exterminator was done, they wouldn't be back to infest my new furniture.

He made a model that pretty accurately predicts the US federal elections, an electoral system which flattens almost all social complexity via first past the post voting and the electoral college, then somehow leveraged that into being wrong about everything.

At home I do toilets, cat litter and the trash, including times in the heat wave where the trash got maggoty. I don't mind doing gross shit. I'd totally do trash pickup once or twice a month for the community. Force me to do it for wages or statecom forced labor? Fuck right off.

My cynical self thinks a lot of managers miss being able to harass colleagues.

The only popular use cases for VR are games and virtual sex. The only people who want the VR office are managers . I'm left with only one conclusion, and it's not that managers want to have their underlings game during online meetings.

Basically, state laws almost entirely exercises domination over the under classes, except for the few cases where it goes against wealthy people whose crimes are directed against other wealthy people, and usually only if it might erode class privilege for the class as a whole.

That fact, coupled with the fact that the state also acts as an instrument for class discipline (force the wealthy to give up some of their individual privileges to defend their class privilege as a group) explains most of the internal conflicts between the two.

Mostly agree. I think politicians are mostly middle managers though, they are wealthy by most people's standards but not by the standards of their own class.

So, I mean, I don't think I know for sure there is no god, but I also don't believe it's impossible to ever find out either way, so I wouldn't call myself an agnostic.

There are both atheist agnostics (I don't believe in God but no one can know either way) which is what you seem to be defending as a position, and theistic agnostics (for example, Christians who strongly belief that the truth of the existence of god is unknowable).

So without extra adjectives, 'atheism' typically is a negative belief, i.e. the absence of a given belief. Agnosticism, however, when it was coined actually meant a positive belief, mainly the philosophical belief that 'knowledge of God is *impossible*'.

You're using 'agnostic' in the sense most of us who id as atheists use 'atheist', i.e. 'I don't (personally) believe in a god'. But yeah, atheist is an umbrella term that covers both passive/'soft' atheism (I don't believe) and active/'hard' atheism (There is no God).
