I am so torn. I want to take this tweet down to stop causing the YIKES but I also want to leave it up to show what white people still think is fine to write. It's not fine at all, obviously. But if I take it down, it breaks the connections so many people have made as well. Gah!

You can critique something like disability representation without calling people "coloreds" or suggesting white people are the ones who are really discriminated against. That's why you got quoted and not other people who commented on the rep.

This article acknowledges one of the protagonists/avatars of the city is White, ignoring that this book was first in a series: Said character's redemption seems inevitable. It says more that this guy is bothered that the pandimensional gentrifier is White than gentridication.

The reaches they’re trying to go appealing to “realistic representation statistics” and at the same time flinging slurs... dear god just go out and say you think white people are too superior to be “supernormalitively” cast as villains and stop the play victimhood.
